Fed: AVCC says fee ban would mean cut to university services
Vice-chancellors say universities would have to reduce services such as student
counselling, accommodation services and childcare if the government proceeds with its plan to
ban compulsory student union fees.
Australian Vice-Chancellors Committee executive director STUART HAMILTON agrees some of the
millions of dollars in fees goes to the left-leaning National Union of Students but most goes
to fund student support activities on campus.
