FED: Securities Commission deputy steps down

CANBERRA, Dec 4 AAP - Australian Securities and Investments Commission deputy chairman
Peter Day has resigned, Treasurer Peter Costello said today.

Mr Costello said Mr Day would step down in the New Year to take up a senior management
position with Bonlac Foods Ltd.

"The government will be taking steps to appoint a replacement in the near future," Mr
Costello said in a statement.
