It is hard to define what, exactly, is the main allure of spring turkey hunting.
After all, as far as the hunting sports go, the hours are pretty awful. You usually have to head out of the house by 4:30 a.m. to get to a hunting spot before the birds fly down from their roosts.
Turkey hunters are easy to spot. Look for a person at the local convenience store who is trying to pour sugar into their coffee, but is too tired to actually hit the cup, and if that person has some item of camouflage clothing on, chances are they are a turkey hunter.
